Cactus Pete's Jackpot NV

Cactus Pete parking lot very crowded with mixture of semis and RVs but I managed to squeeze in between two of the above. RV Park also jammed and looked as if lots of people were having to turn away. I kept heater on low all night but it stayed above freezing anyway. Buffet good but not cheap at $24, incl. beer and a tip. Played my “system” on the slots and came up ahead by $7,...

7 Feathers Casino Canyonville OR

Off I-5 at Canyonville, 7 Feathers is an excellent dry-camp or RV park stopover along the freeway. The lower parking area (opposite Burger King) has large-rig lanes and is a short walk up to the casino. Free shuttles are also quite frequent. The buffet was very crowded so they had a "wait" line where one went to reserve a space - mine took about 30 minutes. They will either text you when a space is available or give you a...

12 Tribes Casino Omak WA

12 Tribes have added an RV Park adjacent to the main parking lots. nominally $30, I was given a $22 rate for reasons unknown. Occasional security in a truck came by and the lighting cold certainly be improved both in the Park and on the way to the casino. Food service much improved over my last visit. They have abandoned the Asian restaurant concept and now have a more varied menu in a nice restaurant setting. There was no buffet...

Tachi Palace Casino

2nd visit this year. Construction going on in 2nd car park but lots of room in 3rd for RVs and trucks. Fairly empty parking area given that it was Thanksgiving. Buffet was excellent but $26 with no discount for seniors. Shuttles and security came by frequently and lighting is good. A new Service station has reasonable rates $3.31 for diesel and sells convenience items. The sewage pump station for the hotel still makes a whine when activated so best to...

Desert Diamond 4/Hickiwan Trails/ Golkden Hasan Casino

As casinos go, this place is very small, lacks much glamour and is limited to slot machines. Security is present at the casino. Basically, DD 4 is a tribal gas station with a special diesel pump for larger rigs and prices slightly better than the nearby station in Why The RV park, however is located behind the casino and is owned by the same tribe (Tohono O'odham Nation). It is operated separately with its own management and...

Tachi Palace Casino November 17th through 19th 2016

Tachi Palace Casino (N36 14.214 W119 45.396) Lemoore, CA Took about 4 hours to drive here from Cache Creek, plus a stop at Joe’s Truck Stop, on I-5 at Westley, south of Stockton, to eat at a Denny’s restaurant. This is a very good place to pull in for fuel or food/truck wash and other services I have yet to investigate. There is plenty of room to turn around, access the pumps or park. Tachi had a...

Cache Creek Casino November 15th 2016

Cache Creek Casino at Brooks, California (N38 44.157 W122 08.622) 2-3 hours south-west of Rolling Hills is another Indian casino, officially called Yocha Dehe , it is located on Hwy 16, north off I-505, the freeway bypassing Sacramento from the north joining I-5 to San Francisco. Easy enough to find, Cache Creek is enough off the beaten path to eliminate most truckers. Becoming a theme of my casino camping career, I made a wrong turn en-route leading to an...

Seven Feathers Casino Canyonville WA

Made wrong turn just after freeway exit - with benefit that this took me to the RV Park, connected to, but separate from, the actual casino. Once redirected, I found the North lot at the casino. Here, one finds free parking on RV-size marked pavement with plenty of room, far enough from the highway that noise was not an issue. Shuttles run frequently to the casino though it is only a 10 minute walk away. Slots and games...

12 Tribes Casino Omak WA

This is a good overnight stop with easy access to large paved parking lots, including designated RV lanes. The casino is located about 11/2 hours south of the Canadian border about a half mile to the east off Highway 97, 2 miles south of Omak Free RV Camping is allowed with the usual check-in at Security. Food was adequate but nothing special on my visit In March of 2016 A Walmart and Home Depot are...

Spirit Mountain Casino March 24th 2016

At Grande Ronde on Highway 18, Spirit Mountain Casino (45 03.582 123 35.013) is another of these large casinos, run, possibly, by the same Indian tribal corporation as Three Rivers and Chinook Winds. Parking lots were nice and flat with RV-sized painted lines, The best thing about this place may be that it has a dump station and fresh water spigot at the back of the parking lot. There is also a big-rig friendly Shell Station on the...

Chinook Winds March 24th 2016

March 24th, Chinook Winds Casino (44 59.954 124 0.353). Entry a little difficult, turning left off the very busy 101 at a traffic light onto a side street, thence into the casino parking areas. There is a special one for RVS, featuring steeply angled parking, so I didn’t really like it right off the bat. The best thing about this place was the surf. Huge waves were crashing in to the beach, something I could watch...

Three Rivers Casino March 23rd 2016

Three Rivers Casino, Florence OR (43 58.831 124 05.250) Friendly and helpful staff, an excellent and well priced buffet plus a small lake with park-like surroundings by the extensive, level parking lots Big rig friendly – no real need to unhook the toad unless exploring This may be the “new” best Casino location for me so far because it offers most of the features that we “casino campers” require for our free nights on the road....

Golden West Casino Bakersfield California

Golden West Casino Bakersfield CA GPS N35 20.704530 W119 0.222396 small paved parking lot was a bit of a tight squeeze for me but I managed to nestle in to about 8 spaces under the watchful eye of a friendly security guard. This casino, I discovered was not operated under Indian tribe regulations as are most in the south and hence, did not have slot machines but rather a large number of tables for poker, blackjack, craps and...

Bear River Casino March 2016

Bear River Casino Loleta CA GPS N40 37.711 W124 12.390 Paved but moderately angled parking lots – RVs should go to the back as it is a little flatter Casino typical with lots of slots as well as gaming tables Hotel and Conference Centre Restaurant, linen napkin level and a bit pricey, has great view over river valley with ocean in distance No buffet but excellent prime rib (3 sizes) on Fridays ...
