LATEST RULES
Park- Using a Players Club Card go play- Accumulate 20 points then swipe your card at a kiosk to receive an Overnight Parking Voucher. Take the voucher to the Winners Circle. Need to know your site number and license plate number. They will fill out a form and give you a 1-night RV Parking Placard to be placed in your window. Have them put both you and your spouse on the form with each Winners Circle Card #. You can each accumulate 20 points and each can robtain a voucher (do it the day you gets the points or it will disappear from the kiosk)). Use 2nd voucher the next day (they are good for a week). I realize this sounds complicated but once you have learned the system it is an easy process. The form is only filled out 1 time as they use the back each time you surrender a voucher to record dates of stay for a full month- then a new form.

THIS IS NO LONGER FREE
You need to spend at least 40 US$ to stay, you need to become a member of the players club, a long process and the collect 40 points on the card to be able to get a permit each dollar spend is 1point.
This is rather unfriendly and we went away.
The place was very windy and not very level, you have to be way in the back and walk down long stairs (30 steps) to get to the casino level
Will not go their again

March 24th, Chinook Winds Casino (44 59.954 124 0.353).
Entry a little difficult, turning left off the very busy 101 at a traffic light onto a side street, thence into the casino parking areas. There is a special one for RVS, featuring steeply angled parking, so I didn’t really like it right off the bat.
The best thing about this place was the surf. Huge waves were crashing in to the beach, something I could watch all day The casino itself is huge with a hotel and conference center included in the main buildings.
Walking through the buffet on the second floor, I was quite impressed at the selection – everything looked very good. Luckily, I wasn’t having lunch so managed to escape without adding further to the girth.
Exit back onto the highway north involved a mandatory right turn on 101 (heading south) followed by a series of left turns and a scenic tour of Lincoln City Parks and residential areas before I could get myself pointed north again. No doubt, there is a different exit that would have served me better

Nice to see that they reversed their no overnight policy. I laughed when I read the sign, a paragraph about points etc. Bottom line, you play, you can stay. They had to have quite a few meetings to come up with that policy. If you don't have a permit in your window by 10pm they might just kick you out. Bring lots of levelers unless you're lucky and get a flat site. It's all paved.
There is also a full service RV park run by the tribe across the road from the casino. It's OK. The shuttle runs through there. If it's really cold you may want to exercise this option. If I remember right it was around 35 bucks.

Has overnight parking, however MUST earn at least 40 points on card and then revive a 3 night pass. (Basically spend $40.00 in casino to earn the 40 points). Must earn more points over the next 3 days to get an extension to your stay.

Casino has reversed no RV parking policy. Newly painted lines for RV spaces. Strictly enforced locations for parking. Must fill out form from security and submit to hotel registration. They will issue permit. Good up to 14 days. Shuttle bus comes through frequently or you can call. Buffet is better than ever.

No Overnight Parking
The casino contacted me to change our info. Due to increased business they need to maximize the use of their parking lot and stop the free overnight RV parking. Day use RV parking is still permitted, and you should park in the overflow lot on Logan Road.

I found this to be a very nice stay. Big parking lot for rv's to park themselves but no 'marked' spots. Not level but I have blocks. WiFi???-Did not work for me. No antenna tv. Good beach access for a nice walk. Grocery and fuel readily available. Casino nice with good table games and lots of slots. Food seemed pricey so did not try.

Review Update
In fairness I need to update my comments made May 2010. We were stayed here over New Years 2011/2012 and the buffet has greatly improved. It has undergone a remodel and the food is vastly improved.

Where the RV area use to be has moved to the upper area (GREAT NEWS). Its still a little tight because of all the curbs, but nothing like before. RV's are asked to park at the south side of the upper area. (Great view of the pacific ocean). A shuttle runs (not to often), but you can call for one via your cell phone.
We also got free wifi view the hotel from that upper area. Awesome!
(Mac, I sent 3 photos with this, if they didn't show, let me know how or where to send them)

Slanted rv parking but paved and can stay a long time. Slots tight, they have things for senior players to do. Very convenient shopping within a block. Can see ocean from parking lot and its just a short walk to the beach. No more rv parking below. We only ate at the deli and it was very good. We will return.

Report from Robert S., May 2010
We hit this one on a regular base can't beat the view or the location. Others have mentioned being chased out of the parking lot where it is posted "No RV Parking." Only once did I park in the RV spots and never again. It is impossible to get close to level in it and the access is worse. I always head up to the upper lot above the RV lot and never had a problem. The tour buses park up there and a local drops a truck trailer there too. Security has never bothered me and come around regularly. I did a drive through of the Logan Road RV Park nearby and I'll take the parking lot over it.
The restaurant has a great view but the food at Denny's is better and cheaper. It has really gone downhill the last few years. The buffet is marginal at best. Do your self a favor and eat in your RV.

June 2008
- report from reader C. Randle, June 2008
I have been by the Chinook Winds three times and each time the RV parking area was full.
The last time I drove the motorhome into the overflow car parking lot which was 95% empty (I think it is used for staff parking). I was immediately challenged by a security guard in a pickup truck whom I told we were just going into the casino for lunch and an hour or two on the slots. We told him we would not stay overnight. He pointed to a small sign that said, "No RV Parking" and asked, "Didn't you see the sign?". I had not seen it and told him so. He told me the sign means what it says and I would have to park in the RV lot. I told him it was full and he said to try again tomorrow. We went on our way.

The casino road make a loop off of NW 44th and NW 40th Streets . The RV parking is next to the main casino parking. All of the other lots are clearly marked - NO RV Parking. The RV lot has large marked spaces.
It’s actually the worse lot for RVs because of a big dip going into the lot which causes many people to scrape bottom. The lot slopes every which way so if you don’t have levelers bring some extra boards.
The hotel faces a beautiful sandy beach that is easy to get to from the RV lot. The casino is fairly big with a good selection of slot machines, table games and restaurants.

- from reader C. Williams, March 2006.
Although they do allow RV parking overnight I wouldn't recommend it. The parking area is small and rough. We were very disappointed, didn't park there but drove to the adjacent Logan Road RV park, https://www.loganroadrvpark.com. It was $28 and that's more than we like to spend. We had heard about Spirit Mountain Casino a short distance away, and moved there the next night. It was great by comparison, a level paved area and free.
