A nice stopover - not a lot ‘to do’ in the area - can be crowed in ‘transition’ months as people travel north and south for the season change. No more Buffet ( after Covid almost All have closed Buffets ) and the cafe choices seem limited and a bit overpriced - $13 for a casino Hamburger ?! The convenience store is closed - remodeling I assume, same with dump. I parked and went to front desk and they said it was fine to park there even though store was closed and there was no Fee. In my opinion, this is the best RV option in the Phoenix area. My suggestion is the Large gravel / dirt lot in the very back of the casino: 33.022965, -112.053348 This was the staging area for last year's construction so is very accessible for larger RV's and 5th wheel's. The slope is really not Too bad but it's the size of the parking lot that precludes overnight parking for anything other than a van, truck or small class B. NO Rigs - NO trailer turnaround - NO access ........ try elsewhere !
As of 1/1/2019, by city / casino ordinance, parking lot parking for RV's is no longer permitted ! ! I guess you could go 'stealth' on the city streets if you wanted -- but the casino was Very specific that there was now NO PARKING ALLOWED for rv's in any lot.
Appears that you Can still overnight in parking lot for free adjacent to RV park entrance. The RV park is a 5-star ...... if you can AFFORD it -- prices $50-$65 night. Parking area for 'free' is small and limited and must be entered on north side of casino as if entering rv park -- don't get 'stuck' entering casino areas as overhangs will prevent you and turnaround on roadway is limited if you miss the entrance. ...
Don't know about the 'detaching' comment from the 'supervisor' in his paragraph but if you have a trailer you will Have to detach to go do anything in the area. 2 days seems a bit limiting but there are other casinos in the area to travel too since you've already made the trip here. Good overnight parking - buses during day and just one truck came for a night. Two lane roads getting here with elevation changes of 1,000' but was fine for our 33' 5th wheel. Good casino with slots, blackjack, PaiGow, baccarat, poker and some other card games. Craps is played with cards -- we didn't like this game. About 20 min. to Escondido for grocery, fuel is available on site but price is high. Security covered...
