April 2006
report from I. Matheny, April 2006

Rolling Hills in on I-5 at Corning California about 125 miles north of Sacramento. There are both Big-Rig parks and RV areas. We have spent many nights with never a question asked. Most night we see several dozen motor home/campers in the lot. Plenty of space for the 40 footer pulling a toad.

Buffet is quite adequate and not very expensive. Gambling is fine, with a nice 'Non-Smoking" area. We have spent 10-15 nights there over the last 5 years, We always look forward to spending a few hours in the casino and at the buffet. Wife always makes a couple of dollars and feels good after.

March 2007
report from Terri, March 2007

Terri here again....Just an update for you. We just stayed at Rolling Hills Casino in Corning 3 days ago. They have opened their RV park! All pull-thrus. Paved inner roads, gravel pads. Check-in was quick and easy. Slide your credit card through and get a receipt. Park in any empty spot. $25 a night.

Drive past the main entrance to the casino to the Chevron station, turn right and follow the signs straight ahead. They also have a building with showers, fax and internet service if you need. A gas/diesel station (Chevron and a CFN) is easy access. There is a shuttle to the casino, but it was just a very short walk. Nice to stretch our legs after auto racing all weekend.

RV park was basic with full hookups. Nice and close to highway, not loud though. All pull thru's. $28 for the night and had to pay for $4 each for shower use. They supply towels etc. A real trucker stop. Only stayed one night but signed up for casino card and got some free slot play. Best buffet we have seen and being a senior only $8. A great deal.

Nov 9th, 2016 - Corning, Ca - Rolling Hills Casino
Free parking overnight in truck lot, plus a very nice RV Park - $28, or , only $23 for me as I went golfing and took advantage of one of their package deal ($58 for golf and RV Park stay, incl. cart)
Given $10 credit with Player’s Card, plus another $10 just for being a Canadian?
Buffet excellent with prime rib, chicken etc – all for $14.95
Tuesdays and Thursdays 1/2 price, so the same buffet will be about $8.
The main truck-parking area was pretty well empty and had nice big lines when I arrived mid-afternoon. Later, I was told that slide-outs were not allowed as trucks needed to park in close formation. By middle evening, close to 80 rigs, some of which kept engines going all night, making the RV Park much more attractive. An additional down- factor in rating the free truck parking area was the fact that many truckers save up their pee in plastic jugs. These get poured all over the parking lot, leaving stains and smell as fond memories.
Corning is also home to the “Pit Stop”, At which every variety of olive known to man is sold. I bought blue-cheese olives as well as some stuffed with garlic and cheese - very yummy!

RV and Semi parking on the south end. Pull through and back in parking stalls. Good stop over for the night. Casino remodel complete with exception of a couple restaurants, opening soon. Would stay again. Casino has a nice RV park as well, $40 a night if you want full hook ups.
