Report from James M., July 8, 2010

Still allows free dry camping overnight. Large gravel area in front of casino- separate from the trucks. Did not have any problems.

Had dinner in the bar during Happy Hour $3.00 drinks 4PM-7PM. HUGE nachos. Also had a special- Alaska Amber Special $10.99. Large glass of Alaska Amber Beer, 1 lb. Fish & Chips (enough for the 2 of us but one of us is small eater) AND a new Alaska Amber beer glass to take home.

Did not really notice any smoke either. Very busy for an early Thursday

April 22, 2016 Still allowing FREE overnight RV parking in "separate" lot. Level pull through ample sized spaces. There are over 30 RVs tonight. Many are parked with empty space on each side; few are next to one another but may be traveling together.
Parking lot is well patrolled, clean and well lit; although I only spotted one trash can.
Semis are parked nearby- but in separate lot.
Did fairly well on Slots; no promos for New Players.

January 9, 2009
Report from Clark K., January 9, 2009

We stayed there one night in May, 2009 and will not be back. Check in was slow, people ahead of us had been assigned an occupied site, clerk didn’t care or know what to do.

Our site was pull-thru but narrow and cluttered with cigarette butts, pull-tops, etc. We asked to move to a back in and it was clean, grassy, and NO one next to us.

Casino was smokey. We ate in the buffet and it was decent but not worth the high prices. CG bathroom was FILTHY and not as clean as a forest service outhouse! We didn’t enjoy it!!

Check out their web site www.gypsyjournal.net

In August 2004 we pulled into the Wild Horse Casino, east of Pendleton, Oregon on the Umatilla Indian Reservation. The casino has a very nice full hookup RV park, with fees of $18 a night at that time. We saw several RVs parked on one side of the parking lot set aside for RVs, and the security guard said we were welcome to dry camp for free.

We decided to spend the money a full hookup site cost on a nice seafood buffet in the casino's dining room instead. The food was decent, though we've had better. We dropped a few bucks in the slot machines, with no luck. Casino is just off Interstate 84 with easy access and room for any size RV

Stayed here on 7-3 to 7-5, 2006. Rates for the campground are now $19.26 for 30amp or $21.40 for 50 amp. They give a discount Mon-Thu for Escapees, Good Sam, AAA, & AARP. I paid 52.00 for 3 nights under escapees, it would be the same for AARP. They give you 2 free cont. breakfast tickets each day of your stay. Stay is limited to 30 days. Laundry and restrooms open 24 hours as is casino and free shuttle.

They still allow dry camping in their lot and at the adjacent truck stop.

The buffet is pricy so did not partake. The Hot Rock Cafe, snack shop has good and reasonably priced food.
