NOT Nugget - Terrible's Road House
This penny slot casino is now Terrible's Roadhouse with a Denny's Rest. attached. Drove through town 2X before realizing the the Nugget was gone and the sign had changed. Large parking lot on the south side of Denny's- level & gravel. Did not go in the casino but drove on down to Terrible's Truck Stop for a break.

Report from Larry and Betty, July 2007

My wife and I spent two nights at the Searchlight Nugget, NV in February 2007. You can walk the main street of town. Lots of antique stores with really nice people running them. A must see. Be sure to see the Museum. It is located in the library building. Searchlight is home to Clara Bow, Rex Bell, Edith Head and Senator Harry Reid, to name a few. It is close to Cottonwood Cove and only about 25 miles from Nipton, and the entrance to the Mojave National Preserve.

You will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food at the Nugget, and the price is reasonable. The people are really friendly and there is a nice RV park less than a mile from the Nugget on the road to Nipton. It was only $16 with 50 amp service.

Report from Pat, March, 2007

The Searchlight Nugget allows overnight RV parking - room for about 10 rigs in the lot south of the casino, but there's a lot across the highway where additional rigs could park. It's a very small and smoky locals casino. The video poker wasn't full pay, but I've seen worse. The restaurant was average, but the staff was very nice.

There's also a new Terribles casino/truckstop just south of the Nugget on Hwy 95. The only eatery there is a McDonalds, but they have a C- Store as well. It has somewhat limited truck and RV parking, but there is a lot across the highway from it as well.
