Report from Larry and Betty, July 2007

My wife and I spent two nights at the Searchlight Nugget, NV in February 2007. You can walk the main street of town. Lots of antique stores with really nice people running them. A must see. Be sure to see the Museum. It is located in the library building. Searchlight is home to Clara Bow, Rex Bell, Edith Head and Senator Harry Reid, to name a few. It is close to Cottonwood Cove and only about 25 miles from Nipton, and the entrance to the Mojave National Preserve.

You will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food at the Nugget, and the price is reasonable. The people are really friendly and there is a nice RV park less than a mile from the Nugget on the road to Nipton. It was only $16 with 50 amp service.
