Sam's Town is pretty much our winter's destination these days. We have spent a month or more 3 of the last 4 winters at ST. We like the RV park and the park office personnel are friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile to help us cash in some free nights (ST has some obscure regulation about not doing back-to-back promotions).

The RV park is an easy walk to the casino where we find a variety of eateries, good VP, coffee, movie theater, bowling alley, ice cream parlor, and shopping (if you like that sort of thing). Additionally, they run free shuttle buses to the Strip and Downtown where we have even more dining choices. Players get big discounts on food (40% I think) if using BConnected slot card points.

We had a good relationship with a casino host (and a bad relationship with a different one, but that is another story). We got most of our RV park time comped. Between BConnected and Total Rewards from Harrah's we never paid for a single meal, and we dined like kings. However, within the last year ST cleaned house and all the casino hosts are gone -- both good and bad -- along with their boss, the director of customer relations. Don't know what happened but I do know we didn't get as many days comped last winter. The guy I dealt with didn't wear the title or host or customer relations.

We are still getting the same offers for free rooms (or RV park), tournaments, meals, etc., and will probably still go there for part of our winter excursions. We love the shuttle buses service and the convenience of the RV park, even if we have to pick up more of the tab.

We stayed here for two weeks last winter. This was their stay time limit, not ours. We found the RV park reasonable in most respects. One odd issue, they have the rigs park alternately forward/backward. Great if your good friends with your right hand neighbor, your awnings will touch. Frequent security patrols (on bicycle) which is encouraging, as ST is not in the best neighborhood. Easy walk to casino, which sports a bowling alley and movie theater. We enjoyed the Senior movie day on Tuesdays. Buffet was pretty good and we were getting some comps for modest VP quarter play. We found one bank of machines with very good pay table (dueces wild) and enjoyed many hours of play without getting scalped. Poker room was entertaining and the lounge club acts were fun as well. Easy drive to the strip, so no complaints as regards the location. Park has a laundry room, pool and whirlpool. Spaces are gravel and not large, but long enough for most any rig. We got some of the RV park fee comped, got some free movie tickets and lots of free food. All in all, a fun two weeks.

Kind of expensive, but you know what you're getting. Staff was very accommodating on receiving delivered parts.
Madeline was very obliging for me. My wife did not receive the same treatment on two different occasions.

Getting around the RV park in the motorhome with trailer was a breeze. Wide roads, no problems.
Security all night at the entrance of the RV park. Sams town is located just north of Henderson on the Boulder Highway. Not the best part of town but no problems.

The casino is great for a party. Everybody came out way ahead. That's reason enough to go.The casino is great for a party. Everybody came out way ahead. That's reason enough to go.

The dining staff at the restaurant we went to were very good food was also good.

Covid precautions were in effect throughout the casino.

Once again we spent a big part of the winter in Sam's Town RV Park. We arrived on 19th of Nov, 2015 and departed on the 19th of Jan, 2016. The monthly rate coupled with some free days and promotions got us down to about $18 per day. The park personnel worked with us to ensure we got the best rates and to take advantage of our promotions, a good trick considering all the restrictions Sam's Town puts on promotions.

We enjoyed our stay and for the first time ever, spent the holidays away from home. We used Bconnected comp points (easy to get in Sam's Town) and Harrah's Total Rewards points to pay for all our meals for the entire two months. In fact we built up so many points in Sam's Town, Lucky Lucy cashed in a bunch for a new iPad. We did gamble quite a bit.

Once again our casino host was no longer employed by Sam's Town and we were assigned another, John Sou. I never met him in person but on a lark sent him an e-mail to see if they would comp us part of the RV park fees. To my surprise and delight, they picked up the entire two months. It always pays to ask.

Recent stay at Sam's KOA RV park was extremely enjoyable. We stayed at the south side park. The check in staff was friendly and accommodating since we have dogs and have specific spaces we like for them. The facilities are clean and the park, even though our space was very close to the Boulder Hwy, was quiet. It is a walk to the casino from the south RV park and it looks like the north RV park is even farther.
We ate at TGI Fridays. It always seems like all TGI Fridays are short staffed and this was no exception. So if you have lots of time, this is an option. They do have good happy hour specials.
It looks like they allow long term rental too. We enjoyed our stay and definitely will stay again.
