A reader's report, August 2006

We've stayed at Grand Casino Hinckley, Minnesota several times over the last few years. The Casino Campground has full 30/50 amp hookups with a pool, children's playground and is about a quarter mile from a very nice casino. The Casino is located about 70 miles north of Minneapolis/St Paul on Interstate 35

Parking lot is still free and Plenty of space - I found a gravel area with some trees, was very nice and close to entry. RV Park has ridiculous fees (in my opinion) for a casino -- Sun - Thus. $29 + tax -- Fri. Sat. $38 + tax per night -- $23 per night if you stay 28 days or more. They do have everything, laundry, WiFi, Good Sam, FHU etc. I also got WiFi in the free parking lot as well as all antenna tv stations from Minn.. $1.99 Ham and Egg breakfast, $2.99 lunch special, Free play for new members -- table games charge a $0.50 fee per hand to play ??? except BlackJack. Table games are Texas Holdum, 3 and 4 card poker but no PaiGow. Golf course next door was a nice touch.

August 2006
- report from A. Van, August 2006

Large casino operated by the Grand for an Indian tribe. Over 2,000 slots and about 50 tables. 5 restaurants, several hotels and a golf course. Large parking lot with ample big rig parking.

There is also an RV park associated with and adjacent to the casino. The park is a carbon copy of the Grand's Tunica, MS park. About 250 angled back in sites with full hookups (50/30 amp) including cable. Sites are paved including paved patio with grass and a tree between sites. Interior roads are also paved. Shuttle service 24/7 to casino (@ every 20 minutes.) Large clubhouse with nice seating area, game room, laundry (small for the size of the facility), convenience store and very large outdoor pool w/patio. I noted 6 free, open Grand RV Park WiFi connections available at our site. Park is open year round. Summer rates are $19.95/day ($22.95 Fri/Sat) and $12.95/day winter (Oct through April). Good Sam and Escapees discounts available.

report from Anonymous, June 9, 2009

We stayed a couple of night in July 2008 and were very impressed. Good level, paved pads, picnic tables and fire rings. All sites are back-ins, but the price was great. Less than $20.00 per night.

Apparently campground is relatively new as most of the trees are not yet shading anything. Poked my head in the shower building and it was very nice and very clean.

Casino is small compared to what I am used to, but nice and clean. Signed up for a casino card and got $10.00 free.
