Casino Camper Visit - May, 2006
We stopped in late at night on a weekend. Several RV's already there. All the marked RV parking slots are back-in (or pull in) spots -- no pull through. So if you're pulling a toad you'll have to park across them and take up 7 or 8 spots. It's the same way in front and back RV lot. When you first enter the area, just past the gas station is the first RV lot. The entrance isn't marked as such, but once you turn in past the gas station you'll see a sign pointing right into a parking area. The second RV lot is behind the casino. If you follow all the "RV Parking" signs around you'll come right to it. Lots of space in both locations. Our old Southwind was in good company, parked close to a Newell and two Prevost conversions. Everyone enjoys casino parking
Went inside the next day and quickly checked out the video poker, live poker room, etc. First the good news. This is a nice, clean place with modern TITO machines, tables in good condition, etc. They have also done the "Route 66" theme very well with lots of cool retro art and signage. They even have a Johnny Rockets burger shop. The poker room is very nice, 12 tables and a full bar off to the side (I always enjoy it when my opponents drink at the table).
Now the bad news. If you're a video poker player you're in the desert in more ways than one. They have lots of upright Game Kings multi denomination, quarter to dollar. Some slant tops. JOB in 8/5 7/5 and 6/5. BP in 7/5 and 6/5. DB in 9/6 and 8/5 Deuces in a version I couldn't identify (so it isn't FP or NSU). On all the machines you had to play dollars or half's to get the better pay tables. Also you need to really be careful to check the paytable and confirm the game you're actually playing. Choose Bonus Poker, and you may get a paytable that is actually 7/5 JOB!!!
I recommend table games or live poker here. But since we did sleep in their parking lot, Chris gave them a shot at winning $20 from her at a 6/5 Bonus machine. Luck was on her side -- she hit a Straight Flush and cashed out for $75.

great clean new RV park. fabulous pool and hot tub. great clubhouse. enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day. Only thing I would improve on would be add some steps to the rock tiers between rv pads and pool. Free morning coffee in the clubhouse was a plus.

Stayed here two nights in March 2017. The new park has fairly wide paved sites with rock in between. They all appear to be level. Although the advertised price is $50, we were charged $35 plus tax. Two things: The wifi was basically useless, and there isn't a tree in sight so I would imagine it would be pretty hot in the summer.
The casino was an average casino, nothing special about it. We ate at the buffet, two for one on Mondays and Tuesdays, and it was average or a little better. Lots of choices. We would go back when in the area.

RV parking separate from Truck.
Not courteous to stretch out and take 6-8 spots no matter how early you arrive; by late night everyone else was doubled up.
But maybe you were the selfish one that also continued being the POOREST example of RV friendly!
Our non-gracious words go to a fellow RVer for swapping out their old rusty, worn security tow-chain for our better quality, newer tow-chain last night.
We will only wish you safety along your travels.

All the pictures were taken from about the same location. The big sign is north east of my location. The road going past in the background is I-40 and you can see the exit 140 bridge in the distance. Also in the distance is the historical Rio Puerco bridge. It is the metal arch bridge seen under the exit bridge. The RV parking is to the right of the big sign. The travel stop and truck parking area is further to the right to the south of the RV parking. The RV parking pictures which were kind of non informational since there were no RVs there. I think you can see the curbs on each side of the parking area. The RV parking exit is right at the base of the sign. The entrance is over near the travel stop.
