Kickapoo is now on an online reservation system only, contracted out to www.roverpass.com. RV park rates are $25 Sun-Thu & $40 Fri-Sat, and also charge a $5 reservation fee plus sales taxes, so one night weekdays is $33.56 and a weekend day is $50.70. So my opinion is they are now going for serious gamblers only and not cheap RV'rs like me, spending money only for meals.

The casino is non smoking, clean with a large selection of slots and restaurants. You can no longer park in their parking lot as the have barrier limiting the height to 8'. While the campground is neat and clean, they have eliminated the kiosk for $15/night and first come first served, now you have to book online and total cost is $50/night. Quite pricey for E/W/S only. No other amenities and no shuttle service. After we parked, setup and went to the kiosk to pay we found out about booking online and found the site we were in plus 16 of the 20 sites were already booked. We found another one OK and settled in. Only 5 other campers showed. The booking is done through a separate entity and I don't think they are very efficient, hence the low ratings for the RV park.

We stayed two nights in the RV park on our way to Big Bend National Park. The RV Park opened in November of 2015 according to the staff. It is somewhat self service as you pay at a kiosk. Cost is only $15.00 a night for full hook-ups. There is no cable but we use satellite anyway. We didn't try wifi as we use our data plans. Cell service is fine. Better signage is needed as the park was a little hard to find. We drove past the entrance and then was directed back. The sites are asphalt and back in, but can accommodate big rigs. We stayed in a 40 foot motor home. The casino was ok except that it didn't have very many video poker machines and that is our favorite game. The food in the casino was only average.

20 spaces all back-in on asphalt; utilities in middle catering to trailers with back doors; small cement patio behind utilities; room for big rigs; FHU; 30-50 amp; water; sewer; no cable; wi-fi from hotel might be picked up, but I couldn't; Spanish channels on bat-wing but no English channels; $15.00 paid at a kiosk with credit card; no comps for RV park but comps for meals; shuttle available. Would have given a rating of 5 if they had cable and wi-fi.

November 2010
(Updated: March 18, 2016)
One member posted that this casino has been open since 1994 and a new casino seems to have been built in the last two years. Another member said they live in San Antonio and visit this casino often. They said it has a great poker room, a small RV park with full hookups for $15/night, and also allows overnight dry parking. Shuttle available between casino and RV park. Very busy on weekends.
