Report from Dan & Jenny, May 7, 2010

Our coach (40') was too big to park in lot 4, which can handle only rigs up to about 36'. Also the lot was full when we were there. If you ask at the Security station, they will let you park in lot 5. We stayed from 5/4-5/6/10.

NO MORE PARKING
As of 1/1/2019, by city / casino ordinance, parking lot parking for RV's is no longer permitted ! !

I guess you could go 'stealth' on the city streets if you wanted -- but the casino was Very specific that there was now NO PARKING ALLOWED for rv's in any lot.

Spring/Summer 2007
report from Iris and Glenn, July 2007

Spent about a week there. John, the daytime security guy, was very nice. He said 3 days was approved automatically, just ask if you need more. After 2 days we had a note on the door saying to move to another spot as stay limit had been exceeded. Talked to John, and he said to forget the notice and he would change it to unlimited.

The RV parking lot is now Lot 4. Large signs on the lot indicate it is for RV's and autos, and other signs forbid trucks and buses. The lot is between Stewart and N. Valley streets at Spear, across from the Nugget Inn and one block from the back entrance to the Nugget. Signs in other lots direct RV's to Lot 4. Enter the lot from N. Valley St. The picture provided by Karen B. is a photo of Lot 4.

Security came by right after we parked. Per the security officer, they permit stays of up to three days. No check-in or permit is required. Generators are not permitted between 8pm and 8am.

The Nugget has a buffet, a steak house, an oyster bar, and a coffee shop. The coffee shop has a $5.95 prime rib special which we were hoping to sample, but it is so popular that the line was too long for our taste, so we ate down the block at B'Sghetti's Italian Restaurant, which was quite good. Several other eateries are in walking distance, including Thai, Chinese, Mexican, and steak venues. The Nevada State Capitol is just two blocks away.

RVs must park in [lot 4] which is two blocks behind the casino next to the Nugget Inn. It's a medium sized paved lot bordered by residential neighborhood so it's very quiet. There's no check in requirement but a security guard does drive through several times a day and logs everyone's license plate numbers. Unofficially (info from friendly local) stays are limited to two weeks.

A few other casinos and also the Nevada State History Museum are within walking distance.
