We stayed overnight at the Trop Casino Oct. 21, 2025. They have a pretty big parking lot with an overflow lot that was blocked off. As you come through town and go up the hill (levee), make sure you stay to the right and take the first drive into the casino lot if you're big. Don't go down into the boat launch area (straight ahead up the hill), check your Google maps to get a lay of the land! The first drive is do-able for larger rigs, like our 68' combined fifth wheel and HDT. The other entrance is for cars - it's tight, has trees and curbs and you won't be able to turn and get down to the wide-open lot.
We parked along the southeastern edge next to the grassy hill and went inside to check with security. She was a bit confused at first, but when we told her we wanted to park overnight, play and eat, she said that sounded fine. She was really interested in our full-time lifestyle, so we buttered her up a bit with conversation.

The casino is small, and has a small restaurant that's open for lunch and dinner. Mostly fried foods on the menu, catfish, catfish sandwich, fried green tomatoes. Nothing made fresh, we were told, but the sandwich was good. We didn't play at the casino, they allow smoking and I was coming down with a cold, so that was a big no for me.
There's a park that's been made out of the boat launch area, with markings showing all the major flood levels. Interesting, and a good place to stretch your legs.
The casino is a bit off the main drag, and the side roads in town leading off Main Street are horrible - and I mean like you've never seen. They have so many potholes, probably from flooding, and it looks like they've never been filled or fixed. Stay on Main Street when leaving as long as you can to get to your highway.
