Casino Camper Update, July 21, 2010

On our Yahoo! forum   I received a report from Jim O'Briant, Administrator of the website http://www.OvernightRVParking.com.  Jim visited the Fife location in his motor home and discovered that overnight RV parking is no longer allowed.   He also observed that for day use the designated RV lot was only suitable for smaller RVs.

Report from Karen B., April 2009

There have been some changes with both of these , mainly the Fife location because they've built a parking garage. The report that I did in 2007 is for the one in Tacoma.

Emerald Queen  Fife , Washington

The new parking garages have freed up a lot that can be used for RV parking. Turn at the entrance road just east of the parking garages. There's a traffic circle that may be a little difficult for large motorhomes to negotiate around but there have been class As and fifth wheels in this lot so it is doable. The lot is sandwiched between I-5 and route  99 so it's a little noisy.

If you'll be staying for at least two hours, get a player's club card. They still don't work in the machines so the only benefit that you get is a free meal. Check in at the club booth, play for two hours, check back at the booth and they'll give you a twenty dollar food voucher. The vouchers are good for 24 hours but they must be used at one sitting. There may be a policy limiting vouchers to one in a 24 hour period. We ate lunch at the buffet , over priced at $13.00 but okay since it was free. The buffet selection is limited , a lot of good fresh salads but not many choices for some of the other items. We liked this buffet but not the one at the

Getting a comped meal has gotten easier. You no longer have to get tickets - just check in at the player's cars booth, play for two hours, check back at the booth and get a twenty dollar voucher.  Vouchers are no longer good for take out and must be used at one sitting.

This casino has two locations. The smaller casino right off of exit 137 of I-5 doesn’t allow over night parking. The other one at exit 135 of I-5 has much bigger parking lots and does allow over night parking . We didn’t stay over night but made a couple of day trips in our motor home. There isn’t an area marked specifically for motor homes so we just parked in the emptier lots out of the way. The lots are patrolled by the tribal police.

Get a player’s card if you are going to be in the casino for a least two hours. This casino has an unusual way of awarding food comps to slot players but if you do it right it’s very easy to get a comped meal. The machines don’t accept cards but you still need to get one. If you enter the casino from the side doors the casino card booth is right inside. After you get the card go to the second booth and ask about comps They’ll take your name and then you can buy tickets for the slot machines. No machines in Washington state except money so you have to have tickets. If you get $150.00 worth of tickets you are entitled to a $20.00 food comp after two hours of play. It doesn’t matter how much you play or how much money you run through the machines. You can even buy a lesser amount of tickets then come back later with tickets from the slot machines and have them added to your total until you have $150.00 worth. The only thing you can’t do is get your tickets from the women that give change or from the ticket machines. The comp vouchers are only good for 24 hours.

We ate at the restaurant on the second level. The food and service was very good. We also ate at the Asian Garden Café which appears to be only fast food -order from the selection in the case and take to a table- but if you order something from the menu board that isn’t in the case they make it fresh. We ordered several bowls of noodle soups and entree. . All were very good.
