- Report from Karen B., February 2009
We stayed in Laughlin for five days in the Pioneer Casino
lot. This was the first time , except for a short overnight years ago, that
we actually spent any time in Laughlin. We were scared off by the RV
ban but it seems to have been all settled now. We really enjoyed it
and will definitely stay there again. The daily temperatures were 7-8
degrees warmer than Vegas. Lots of sunshine for the solar panels but a
little windy. There are plenty of level parking areas and
several dump stations.
The casino area is compact so that it is easy walking for
one casino to another. The city of Laughlin and Bullhead city are very
close and large enough to have good grocery stores and other services.
There's a private RV park right in the casino area if you want full hook ups
and also a county park across the river in Bullhead city and a state park
along the river south of Laughlin.
Other than the casinos there isn't a lot to do and the
food offers and special deals are better in Vegas but we did find some good
VP.
The RV parking lot is right in front of the casino motel.
Look for the RV Parking signs. You must check in at the security desk and
get a parking permit for your dashboard. Unhooking of trailers is not
allowed. Nice level lot and a good location in the middle of all of the
casinos.
