Relatively small casino of a half dozen BJ
tables and 500 or so very up to date slots. Adjacent to the casino is a RV
parking lot with about 20 spaces with electric service. Water and dump
station available.

report from John and Joie, September
2007
White Oak Casino
is a very small casino in Northern Minnesota that was opened in August of
2000. The casino has one Black Jack table, a small snack area, a bar, and is
mostly slot machines. Free water is provided to the players.
On the western
edge, of a nicely paved parking lot, is a well marked RV parking area. I
counted three free 30 amp hookups. The RV parking spaces are about 15 feet
wide.
We did not stay
here other then to try our luck at the Casino. Which turned out to be no
luck at all.

report from Rick & Lucky Lucy, July 15, 2008
Their RV park is fairly new, just a couple years old and
is in excellent condition. However, we thought the sites were a little
pricey for the area -- $26 and no coupons or rebates. They did offer full
service including wi-fi but
no cable TV. The bath house also has a storm shelter in the basement, a
strong point considering the tornado warnings issued for the area when we
were there. The casino is small but had some good food promotions going on
-- 99 cent ham & turkey sandwiches (included a generous helping of fresh
fruit & melons) and a 99 cent breakfast the next morning (eggs, choice of
meat, hash browns, toast -- generous portions).
The facilities are in the middle of nowhere and are a
little difficult to find. We had no cell phone coverage for either our AT&T
or TRAC phone. The casino is a pretty good hike from the RV park on a hot
summer day and in spite of the claim to offer free rides we saw no shuttle
bus. We really didn't care for this place and thought the RV park
overpriced for what they offered.

Just a FYI. I stayed in the Prairies edge casino, Minnesota RV park
and I will highly recommend the park, it's located next to the casino 3-5
minute walk or take the shuttle.
Park is concrete pads and blacktop with grass
in between sites with pull-thru and
back-ins, my luck in the casino, Wellllllll.

Large casino operated by the Grand for an
Indian tribe. Over 2,000 slots and about 50 tables. 5 restaurants, several
hotels and a golf course. Large parking lot with ample big rig parking.
There is also an RV park associated with and
adjacent to the casino. The park is a carbon copy of the Grand's Tunica,
MS park. About 250 angled back in sites with full hookups (50/30 amp)
including cable. Sites are paved including paved patio with grass and a
tree between sites. Interior roads are also paved. Shuttle service 24/7 to
casino (@ every 20 minutes.) Large clubhouse with nice seating area, game
room, laundry (small for the size of the facility), convenience store and
very large outdoor pool w/patio. I noted 6 free, open Grand RV Park WiFi
connections available at our site. Park is open year round. Summer rates
are $19.95/day ($22.95 Fri/Sat) and $12.95/day winter (Oct through April).
Good Sam and Escapees discounts available.

We've stayed at Grand Casino Hinckley, Minnesota
several times over the last few years. The Casino Campground has full 30/50
amp hookups with a pool, children's playground and is about a quarter mile
from a very nice casino. The Casino is located about 70 miles north of
Minneapolis/St Paul on Interstate 35

report from Rick & Lucky Lucy, July 15, 2008
The casino has added a new section to
their RV park and now offer full service including wi-fi and cable
TV. The price is $20 (no tax) but they give you a $5 coupon if you have a
player's card (one per day per RV site). The older section is $15 plus $5
coupon ( no cable TV but may be able to pick off wi-fi). The new campground
is well laid out with most sites being pull-through. Interior roads are
blacktop and the camping sites are concrete, wide and level. Both sections
of the RV park are within easy walking distance of the casino.
We enjoyed half price Tuesdays at the buffet (need 15
points on your player's card to be eligible) and the food was pretty decent.
Wednesdays are senior day with $5 cash coupon for each of us (same 15 points
makes for eligibility). We were here on Lucky Lucy's birthday and they gave
her an additional $5. All the cash coupons combined paid for our RV spot for
the night.
Dry camping is OK but was much too hot and humid to consider on our visit.

Nice,
little park. The scenery isn't much to look at and it can be noisy with the
casino air handling system nearby. Full hook up for $15/day during the week
and $20/day on the weekends. If you join the players club and stay in the RV
park you can get a coupon book every day with a $5 cash payout and $4 on
your players card which effectively reduces the cost to $6/day during the
week and $11/day on the weekends. We found it to have the best seafood
buffet we've eaten at and a fantastic breakfast buffet. We stayed here a
little over 2 weeks.

Grand
Casino Mille Lacs overlooks the shores of Lake Mille Lacs, in the heart of
Minnesota’s vacationland. The lake provides year-round recreation, including
boating, swimming, golf, and world-class walleye fishing. Grand Casino
Mille Lacs offers more than 1,500 video slots, dozens of blackjack tables
and live bingo six days a week. They also feature some of the biggest names
in entertainment. Casino hosts four on-site restaurants including the Grand
Buffet, and The Woodlands Steakhouse.
Overnight parking is allowed in an area which is under 24 hour surveillance.
In addition, the security guard drives thru the area routinely. The casino
is a short walk away from this parking area. No hookups are provided. The
parking lot is graded to run water away, so leveling may be required.
One
of the more friendly casino's we've been in. Tuesday is senior day (55 and
over) and rooms go for $30/night plus there are coupons for free ice cream,
match play(s) and, discounts on food. Tuesday is also $2 blackjack day.

Note from
Cheryl: No bars or alcohol beverages allowed in the
casino or hotel. There is also NO Cigar or Pipe Smoking allowed.
-Report from
Karen B. July 2007
There's only one parking lot where overnight
dry camping is allowed. It's located at the campground office and there's a
$10.00 a night charge. If you need hookups the campground is really nice
between $30.00 - $40.00 a night. Follow the signs for RV parking. Everything
is well marked.
It's a short walk to the casino and there's
also a shuttle which runs frequently.
Dry campers have access to the dump station
and can get fresh water at an unoccupied RV site. The office also has free
WiFi which worked great for us in the parking lot. I don't think that the
signal is strong enough to work in most of the campground.
The casino is very big with every type and
denomination of machine available. The video poker pay tables looked better
than what we have been seeing in other Indian casinos but by state law the
pay out percentage for VP must be between 83% and 98% so they're limited by
that.

On our return home from South Dakota to Michigan
we stayed at the Mystic Lake Casino in Minnesota. That was a great place.
The RV park Dakota Meadows was really really nice. We enjoyed it so much
that we went back before the summer was over even though I think it's open
year round. The layout of that RV park was well planned. It has all the
amenities including, storm shelters, gas pumps, RV wash, access to a health
spa, accent lighting, concrete paved site that are level and a great view of
the casino (which is really pretty at night). Didn't win any money in the
casino, but we still enjoyed it.

Dakota Meadows
RV Park, southwest of Minneapolis, part of
Mystic Lake Casino. Great CG. Full H/U; 50 amp svc., Paved level
sites on tiered hillside. Full RV service including fuel and RV wash
bay. Side by side sites.

Follow the signs
for the campground. It's $18.00 for full hookups and free for dry camping.
The dry camping area is along the grass on either side of the campground
office. They didn't require any information from us and said that there is
no time limit on dry camping. The only restriction is on generator use..
There's an overflow parking lot to the left of the main entrance if you want
to dry camp and use a generator. There's a $5.00 fee to use the dump
station. Water fill is either at the office or at any unoccupied site.
The campground has free WiFi but using it's a little iffy.
Sometimes the signal was strong and everything worked great , other times it
wouldn't stay connected. It also required us to reauthorize our use every
morning at 10:00 which was just one click but it kicked us off for a second
and we would lose whatever we had been working on.
It's a short walk to the casino and there is also a
shuttle. You must call for the shuttle from a dedicated phone on the outside
of the office building. Security patrols the campground on a regular basis.
The casino is big with a lot going on. There are two bingo
sessions daily , poker rooms and Texas Hold'em tournaments twice a week , a
golf course and a marina with dinner cruises on the Mississippi River. The
casino appears to have been added on to through the years so it rambles a
bit and has several areas with table games and many different sections of
video poker along with slots.
We arrived a few days before the annual pow wow so we
decided to stay to see it. We had never attended a pow wow and really
enjoyed it. The outfits and dancing were wonderful. However the campground
which had many empty spaces earlier filled completely so make reservations
if you plan to attend and need hookups.
The photograph shows both the dry camping area and the
full hook up sites.

Treasure Island Casino RV Parking -- Photo from Karen B.
-Report from Cheryl, May, 2007
Last
year on June 10, 2006 we were on our way to South Dakota from Michigan, we
stayed over night at the RV park at Treasure Island. The RV park had
blacktop roads but the sites were gravel. They had a 95-pad RV park complete
with all the hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity.
• 20, 30 and 50 amp service
• Restrooms and showers
• Laundry
• Fire pits
• Dump station
• Free shuttle service to and from the casino
Check-in
After 1pm
Check-out
12 noon
The RV park and restrooms were very clean.
The staff was very nice. The casino was good size, over 2500 slots. We were
there on a Saturday night so as you can expect it was sort of crowded. I
can't say anything about the food because we ate in our RV. We didn't stay
at the casino long because we were tired, but if I am in the area again, I
would definitely stay there again.

report from John and Joie, September
2007
Newer Casino that is becoming one of our
favorites (wife won $$.) Casino staff is very helpful and friendly. Casino
has a snack area, buffet area, and upstairs a fine dining restaurant.
Security kept an eye on the RV parking area which is both well lighted and
level.
Only issues we had were the electric hookups were 20 amp GFI outlets which
were tripping (outlet looked pretty used.) After a couple of hours of that,
we moved to a newer looking hookup pole. Everything worked OK.
The parking area does back up to a main road which was noisy early in the
morning.

New, modern casino with a dozen BJ tables,
poker and 1,000 up to date slots. Large parking lot. Designated area for
overnighting RVs at the SW fringe of the parking lot. 30 spaces with
electric.

Report, August 2006
A report on our
Yahoo Group tells of 24 free sites with electric, first come first
served. Sites are narrow, so it's typical for rigs to park in every
other site so they can open slides. No room for awnings.
