- report from Emily, April 29, 2008

We discovered there are two separate entities with two distinct locations and parking lots that are part of Isle of Capri -- a Hotel and a Casino. The hotel is up on a bluff across the street from the Visitors Center overlooking the Mississippi River. We thought this was the casino and parked there in the back corner for two nights with no problem. It is a small parking lot with room for just 1-2 rigs and we did not see the parking out back until after we parked at the Visitors Center and walked over. We did not unhitch and we had no problem.

The Isle of Capri Casino is a riverboat docked along "Natchez Under The Hill" on a small road below the visitors center. At the time we were there the casino was closed because the road to the dock was flooded (the Mississippi is at record high levels right now). There is a large parking lot next to the riverboat casino that may be the place where overnight parking is unofficially allowed. No vehicles were allowed in the parking lot while we were there because of the flooding.
