Casino Camper Update
- February, 2008
Thanks to Paul J. for letting me know there's an 18 hole golf course right
next to the casino. River

- report from Rick and Lucky Lucy,
January 2008
A couple bucks a day more expensive than Sam's Town but
well worth it. They provide free coffee and a free newspaper each morning
(including the Sunday paper). The bath house has been recently remodeled and
is in excellent shape -- also clean. The casino hotel is in easy walking
distance where we find a good wi-fi signal (also in hotel parking lot).
There is a coffee machine near the hotel front desk that dispenses
cappuccino, latte, espresso, and other coffee choices in both real and
decaf. It is pleasant to set up the laptop on a convenient table, sip
cappuccino, and surf the internet. Almost like an internet cafe only this is
all free. One of the major factors for us is the large open field
next to the campground were we can walk our dog.
Now for the downside (there always is one). All the Hollywood's video poker
is short pay. Since this is our game of choice, this is a real handicap. We
did gamble there this trip with predictable results but did get a few free
meals and free camping. The Reserve within easy walking distance does have
full pay machines so all is not lost. This will be our
campground of choice on future visits to Tunica.
- report from Rick and Lucky Lucy,
June 2007
The Hollywood has a pretty decent RV park and
the price is reasonable at about $15 per day for full hook-up. They also
permit dry camping in the large parking lot behind the casino/hotel. Comps
and cash back are good and we have never paid for a camp site or a meal.
Unfortunately, on our last visit in March 07 we discovered they had removed
all the full pay video poker machines. I expect the slots payouts have also
been reduced.
Their buffet is just so-so but reasonably
priced. The restaurant, Fairbanks, is one of the best we have visited any
where any time. The service, ambiance, and food were just superb. We manage
to have at least one meal there every time we visit the Tunica area and we
have never been disappointed.
- report from reader Gail R,
October 2006
We just visited the Hollywood RV Park in
Tunica. We had traveled for many miles on our way back to Houston, TX (we
had dry camped for awhile) and decided to stop in Tunica. Needless to say
the RV park was sold out on a Saturday night.
We were invited to use the RV dump site free of
charge and the parking lot Security Officer found a place for us and another
camper to fill with drinking water. We parked in the large parking lot with
alot of other campers and were visited by the Security staff to assure we
did not need any help and to welcome us to the Hollywood Casino. This is
what I call a RV friendly Casino.
Casino Camper Visit

May, 2006
We were staying across the street at Sam's and
visited Hollywood's RV park just to snap a couple of photos. Maybe
next time we'll stay here? It was $2 a night more than Sam's, and
for that it seemed you got a little nicer landscaping. Either are a
good choice, and a good value. Both have some pull-through sites as
well as back in.
