Report from Just Wanderin', March 24, 2010

This is one casino we hadn't visited when we were previously in the Palm Springs area.  Not much had been written about it so we had to check it out.  We stopped by to pick up our new Player's Cards.  They offer no free $$$ to sign up for their card.  The casino itself is HUGE.  There are many different slot machines but we didn't recognize any of our favorites.  Now we didn't walk over the entire casino but we looked around at some of the slot machines and, of course, tried a few.  We thought they were extremely tight.

Just to be sure we also stopped to check at Security about RV parking.  The gentleman was adamant in that they do not allow it.

We were impressed with the size and openness of the casino but that was about it.  It's also a huge hotel and spa and they bring in a lot of entertainment.  Overall our thoughts are if you're going to stop and visit a casino in your RV, go on down the road to the Fantasy Springs or Spotlight 29.

Been there, done that.  Now we don't need to go back to this one.

Casino Camper Update, March 4, 2007

NO OVERNIGHT RV Parking.  Previously, based on a phone conversation I had with casino security, we had reported that overnight RV parking was OK.  One of our readers, Stephen H., stopped in and was told he couldn't park there anytime.  Stephen emailed the casino and received the following reply which clears up the confusion.

"...our policy recently changed to allow RV's to park on property. The Bike Officers should be informing guests when they arrive where to park (Northeast & East Guest Parking Lots) and that we do not allow overnight parking."

Thanks to Stephen, and my apologies for getting it wrong the first time.  There are several RV Friendly casinos in this area, and I recommend visiting one of them for an overnight stay.

March 6, 2007  Here's a report posted to the Casino Camper Yahoo! forum by reader Bob H.:

Mac, I am at the Agua Caliente as I post this. Last night, after a great $12.99 buffet I checked with a security guard, pointed to my RV (39' + toad) and asked if it was OK to park there. He said no problem "parking", but no "camping", as if the configuration of the RV (jacks, slides, etc) made a difference. However, whether or not they approve whatever, this is NOT on my list of future stops because of the double track mainline railroad right next to the parking lot.

I concur with your recommendation to check one of the other casinos in the area.  BTW, the Flying-J across I-10 is really torn up. NO gas islands, no dump, no RV parking. Some truck (diesel) islands are open. This looks like it is going to be a long term project.
